Matte paper is non-reflective, it is great for prints with lots of text and low ink coverage. Satin has a slightly shinny surface, it creates vibrant colours and due to being able to hold more ink it looks greats for photos and dark colours.
We prefer PDFs as a file format but you don’t need to worry about adding crops marks or bleed. For smaller sizes and prices please see our document page.
Mounting your posters onto 5mm Foam Centred Board will take your presentation to the next level. Our process gives seamless results with crisp cut edges. For the price of a can of spray mount and a new set of lungs we will do the hard work for you. A2 is just £10 +VAT and A1 is £15 +VAT.
The choice between satin or matte paper can be a confusing one however if you don’t have time to request a sample pack of the papers you can simply think of them as shiny or non-reflective. Generally speaking satin stock is the most popular for creating a classic poster look. Satin paper will produce vibrant colours and gives a professional appearance. Matte paper on the other hand can be extremely useful in an environment with harsh lighting where a reflective media may create glare, making it difficult for the audience to read important information that has been included in your poster.
It is also important to consider how you plan to display your posters. Although they can very easily be taped or pinned to a wall, people often find that mounting a poster can greatly improve its appearance by adding rigidity and creating a completely flat surface. We provide a mounting service and all the information is available on our mounting page.
