A non-reflective paper – good for presentation posters with lots of text and graphs.
Struggles with very heavy ink loads, such as dark colour backgrounds.
A slightly shiny paper – good for designs with lots of images, as the colours are rich and deep.
A thin matte paper only suitable for plan drawings.
Need to Know
The choice between satin or matte paper can be a confusing one. If you don’t have time to request a sample paper pack then you can simply think of them as shiny or non-reflective. Satin paper produces vibrant colours and gives a professional appearance. Generally speaking, it’s the most popular option for creating a classic poster look. Matte paper, on the other hand, can be extremely useful in an environment with harsh lighting, where a reflective media may create glare, making it difficult for your audience to read important information that has been included in your poster.
It’s also important to consider how you plan to display your posters. Although they can very easily be taped or pinned to a wall, people often find that mounting a poster can greatly improve its appearance, by adding rigidity and creating a completely flat surface. If this is something you require, we provide a full mounting service – all the information you need can be found on our mounting page.
Mounting your posters onto 5mm Foam Centred Board will take your presentation to the next level. Our process gives seamless results with crisp cut edges. For the price of a can of spray mount (and a new pair of lungs!) we’ll do the hard work for you.
Ordering and Collection
Our client upload facility makes ordering simple. We will contact you when your prints are ready and payment can simply be made on collection. We prefer PDFs as a file format but you don’t need to worry about adding crops marks or bleed. We take the time to check all artwork before printing, helping you to avoid low-quality results. If you have any questions about artwork, dimensions, file format or paper, please ring or email – we’re happy to talk through your project.
